Mission:
The Dragonfly Centre is committed to the elimination of domestic violence against women and their children by providing victim friendly services that promotes the empowerment of survivors; through advocacy, public awareness and education and community based initiatives.

Vision: The Dragonfly Centre envisions a world free of violence against women and their children and social justice for all. We are founded on the vision and belief that every person has the right to live in a safe environment free from violence and the fear of violence and strive to work collaboratively with the community to provide victim friendly services to support domestic violence victims, survivors to the stage of thriving.

Woman Set on Fire

Woman set on fire

A 27-year-old woman was set on fire by a male relative on Saturday.
Reports are that Andrea Badree had an argument with the individual at her home, located at Dumfries Road, Hermitage Village, La Romaine around 12.30 p.m.
The mother of two was doused with gasoline and set on fire. The man escaped in a van.
Badree suffered 40 per cent first degree burns and is warded in critical condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Corporal Ramlogan, ASP Ramlal and PC Noyan visited the scene. Investigations are continuing by officers of the San Fernando Police Station.
